9. A farmer has chickens and cows. Total heads = 10, total legs = 32. How many cows?
Let c=cows, h=chickens. c+h=10, 4c+2h=32. Solving gives c=6. Ans: 6 cows
10. 20% of a number is 50. What is the number?
0.20x = 50 → x = 50/0.20 = 250. Ans: 250
11. A triangle has angles x, 2x, and 3x. Find x.
x + 2x + 3x = 180 → 6x = 180 → x = 30. Ans: 30°
12. If you double a number and add 8, you get 30. Find it.

16. The area of a rectangle is 50. Length is 10. Find width.
Area = l × w → 50 = 10w → w = 5. Ans: 5
17. A shirt costs 200 Birr after a 50 Birr discount. Find original price.
x - 50 = 200 → x = 250. Ans: 250 Birr
18. If a number is subtracted from 50, the result is 12. Find it.
50 - x = 12 → x = 38. Ans: 38
19. Five years ago, Sara was 10. How old is she now?
x - 5 = 10 → x = 15. Ans: 15
20. Two angles are supplementary (sum to 180°). One is 20° more than the other. Find the smaller angle.
